TECHNICAL AND PRACTICAL SKILLS

• General Handyman Skills: A broad range of skills in minor repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting. This is often the core of the job.
• Maintenance and Repair: Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery. This includes inspecting systems, identifying issues, and performing repairs.
• HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning): Knowledge of HVAC systems for minor repairs, filter changes, and troubleshooting.
• Plumbing: Skills to fix leaking faucets, toilets, and pipes.
• Electrical: Basic understanding of electrical systems to handle minor repairs like replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Mechanical: Experience with mechanical systems, which may include things like boilers, pumps, or other building machinery.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as other equipment commonly used in maintenance.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Apprenticeship or Vocational Training: While not required, having an apprenticeship program in a related field can be a significant advantage.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required, as the role involves traveling between different properties.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous Maintenance Experience: Proven track record of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related technical role.
• On-the-Job Training: We offer on-the-job training, but some prior experience is preferred.
