To support our ongoing growth, we are now looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Madrid site (formerly Exeltainer). Job Description and Responsibility: Summary: The Maintenance Technician ensures the optimal operation of equipment and facilities through preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical failures, and ensuring the company’s operational safety and efficiency, as well as its facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and adjusting machinery, complying with safety protocols, and coordinating tasks to minimize downtime and extend the useful life of assets. Primary Responsibilities: Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on machinery. Oversee the overall condition of facilities (electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems) and ensure proper maintenance, including both interior and exterior areas. Install and configure new equipment. Track and report departmental KPIs. Perform maintenance on doors and loading ramps. Perform maintenance and inspections of fire extinguishers. Detect and resolve equipment failures quickly and effectively. Maintain records of maintenance activities, replaced parts, and repair times. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs. Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools. Develop and manage the maintenance budget. Request and evaluate quotes when necessary. Propose technical improvements to optimize processes and reduce downtime and/or costs. Ensure compliance with industrial safety and environmental regulations. Enforce safety standards and 5S practices. Requirements: Technical education or training in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical fields. Solid experience (5+ years) in corrective and preventive maintenance of machinery, as well as team and vendor management. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanics, plumbing, automation, and sector-specific equipment and facilities. Experience in planning and executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Experience managing KPIs, cost control, and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and diagrams. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality protocols. Ability to motivate, plan, prioritize tasks, and manage teams effectively. Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues under pressure. Management style that aligns with the company’s high-integrity culture across all areas of internal and external operations. Ability to coordinate effectively with other departments and key stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work positively and collaboratively with others. Ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple projects from concept through completion. English proficiency at C1 level is required. Forklift License Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. Occasional travel to supplier locations and group production plants may be required.
