Requirements The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient production operations. This position performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and assists in continuous improvement efforts to minimize downtime in a furniture manufacturing environment Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems according to scheduled maintenance programs. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment issues. Respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment including conveyors, saws, sewing equipment, foam equipment, woodworking machinery, assembly equipment, and other production machinery. Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur. Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation. Perform facility maintenance including lighting, plumbing, compressed air systems, HVAC, and building repairs as needed. Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and plant improvement projects. Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding requirements, and safe work practices. Work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Maintain clean and organized work areas and maintenance shops. Perform other duties as assigned.
