Status: Part Time RESPONSIBILITIES Duties of this position include but are not limited to: Perform routine daily custodial duties and complete daily maintenance work orders as scheduled. Routinely inspect building grounds and advise supervisor of any issues or make corrections. Assist in maintaining equipment in good working condition. Furniture assembly, and other minor building repairs as directed by the supervisor. Paint or touch up all common areas as needed. Ensure all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties. Utilize all equipment in a proper, safe, and effective manner. Be available for emergency cleanup of spills, bathroom overflows, and cleaning of learner-related accidents. Garbage removal from the meal area, playground area, and around the entire campus. Maintain records and other maintenance reports as directed by the supervisor. Meet regularly with a direct supervisor to review the status of the entire building(s). Be available to assist teachers, principals, and office staff as needed. Maintain positive working relationships with school staff. Perform all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills REPORTS TO Campus Principal Requirements QUALIFICATIONS All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse. High School Diploma Ability to maintain, fix, and build what is needed for the school campus. Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking for extended periods of time Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends if required Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required Must have effective written and verbal communication skills DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two or more years working in the maintenance field Carpentry, painting, electrical, and/or plumbing skills
