Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and energetic teammates and will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Rolling Stock and its associated equipment under the Scope of the Rolling Stock team at the Randwick Depot for Sydney Light Rail. If you’re ambitious, driven and team-spirited, this is your opportunity to build a career. This role will be on a rotating roster, which includes morning shifts (6 am-2 pm), afternoon shifts (2 pm-10 pm), and night shifts (10 pm-6 am) across weekdays and weekends.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation and diagnostic testing on tram equipment installed on Sydney Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) sub-systems
  • Actively maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on Light Rail Vehicles
  • Following all established safety procedures and utilising safety equipment as required
  • Reporting on activities, problems found and measures taken
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and understanding as well as implementing quality control mesaures

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) required
  • Fault finding ability with demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience in maintenance activities in a similar environment with railway industry experience an advantage but not essential
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill
