Description JOB SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining the electrical systems of all CRAA airports and to perform skilled electrical preventive maintenance on airport distribution systems, connections, and equipment. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs preventative and emergency maintenance on lighting systems across four airports: conducts weekly or monthly inspections and subsequent repairs of each system to include apron light check, street and parking lot light check, parking deck light check, emergency light checks; responds to daily work requests to repair/replace all malfunctioning lights; maintains taxi-way lighting and signage as requested by Operations. Maintains all other electrical systems across three airports: conducts weekly or monthly inspections and subsequent repairs of each system to include elevator room check and cleaning, electrical room check and cleaning, sliding door checks, elevator track cleaning, access gate checks, LRO/JZI/MKS checks, elevator phone checks, accumulator draining, P.I.V. cycling, roll-up door checks; responds to daily work requests to include malfunctioning elevators and access gates, tripped breakers in tenant spaces, and smoke/fire alarm issues; responds to bag belt issues to ensure continuous baggage movement to planes. Installs or moves existing electrical equipment, lighting structures, and receptacles installs new light fixtures and wiring; runs new power for items to include clocks, signs, TVs, computers, refrigerators, and UPS systems. Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures: receives and reviews various documentation, including work orders, preventative maintenance orders, and electrical plans; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate; prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records. Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies to complete work assignments operates and maintains electrical systems and other power or motorized equipment; operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions. Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: High school vocational course work or technical training leading to a certificate. Two (2) years’ experience in a related field of work. Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience. Specific License or Certification Required: Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
