Description

Mowi Feed is the feed manufacturing division within Mowi, the Global leader in salmon farming, processing and marketing. Having entered production in June 2014, Mowi Feed has quickly established itself as a competitive supplier of salmon feed playing a key role in supporting Mowi Farming in its delivery of high quality, nutritious, safe and profitable salmon.
Currently operating from its factories in Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and at Valsneset in the Trøndelag Region of Norway, Mowi Feed has an annual production volume of more than 500,000 tons per year. We manufacture a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon and trout.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum certificate of apprenticeship as an electrician.
  • Proficient computer skills (Experience of Microsoft applications minimum).
  • Experience in production, manufacturing, maintenance or servicing environments is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols and experience undertaking risk assessments and exercising risk reduction.
  • Experience working with asset/maintenance management software, controlled work permit systems and following procedures measures.
  • The right attitude and mindset supporting our vision and values.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills. You need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken, since that is the working language.
  • The ability to be dynamic, goal and results oriented.
  • You need to be flexible and capable of shift work.
  • Good understanding of LEAN/Continuous improvement principals.
  • Certificate B, T4, and person lift A, B.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all maintenance jobs are carried out safely observing any risk assessments.
  • Always follow site policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Ensure that the Maintenance management system is kept up to date and faults are entered into the system.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of maintenance, equipment status, parts/consumables used and fault reports.
  • Use expertise and training to support issues within the process issues as they arise.
  • Maintenance, repair and improvement of technical equipment.
  • Daily and preventive maintenance.
