Job Summary The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance tasks within a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, fixtures, electrical, mechanical, energy management, and fire and life safety. The Technician maintains productive working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, staff, and clients, and ensures high quality, responsive, and friendly customer service. Essential Functions Performs maintenance and repairs on company buildings in accordance with standard operating procedures, internal requirements and standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety policies Participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitors work of vendors and contractors; assists in the review of new construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with facility maintenance standards Assists with managing company work orders and with tracking data including labor hours and equipment maintenance and parts Assists with implementing processes and procedures that streamline maintenance expectations, scheduling, and completion Assists with managing budget procedures and utilizes cost-effective maintenance practices Performs renovation work to include sheetrock, fixtures, patch and paint, electrical, data, and other items Performs rent-ready residential unit turn tasks including patching, painting, lighting, etc. Provides snow removal services Responds to emergencies and after-hours requests within required timeframes and follows prescribed emergency management procedures Performs maintenance work in accordance with company policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local laws (OSHA, ADA, DOT, etc.) Requirements Education None Experience One year of facility maintenance or related experience Licenses/Certificates Driving position - requires a minimum age of 21 and a current driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Previous construction experience
