We are looking for a skilled Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance operations and ensure our equipment runs smoothly.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Mechanic / Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and control systems is a plus.
  • Experience in beverage/dairy industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of use of appropriate tools and spare parts for equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, GMPs, and HACCP principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, and facility infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, and pneumatic issues on various equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, and packaging machines.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards (FSSC22000).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS.
  • Assist in equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
