Company Description Fort Walton Machining, Inc. was formed in 1987 as a specialized custom manufacturing operation, specifically to service Eglin Air Force Base and its prime contractors. Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician, MFD Summary: Responsible for maintenance and repair of production equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Performs routine preventative maintenance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to manufactures specifications on Paint Booths, Ovens, Salt Spray Cabinet and Filter Press. Repair of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronic controls, electrical wiring, and plumbing. Trouble test and assess the operation of machinery to detect the cause of malfunction. Reads and follows blueprints, sketches, diagrams, lubrication charts, manufacturer operation manuals and engineering specifications. Possess ability to use tools and alignment equipment. Assembles, disassembles and/or replaces equipment parts as required. Follows manufacturers and company safety policies. Performs other maintenance duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year or more experience plumbing, electrical and hydraulics, preferred. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
