Franciscan Health Rensselaer 1104 E Grace St Rensselaer, Indiana 47978 The Maintenance Tech I provides general mechanical construction and maintenance services for hospital facilities, under the direction of engineering management. This position assesses, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and performs repairs of the facility general components requiring, repair, replacement, or new installation. This position performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, building standards, and hospital policies. The Maintenance Tech I participates on facility services team to operate, maintain, repair, and install facility systems, equipment, and apparatuses to provide a comfortable and safe hospital environment. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (on call every 3rd week) Maintain appropriate documentation for facility equipment, systems, and components. Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement equipment and systems. Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures. Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of facility equipment, systems, and components performed by others. Assist in the temporary shutdown of the facility equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation and new construction projects. Design, construct, install, and remove various facility equipment, systems, and components. Diagnose malfunctions in the facility's equipment, systems, or components, and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Maintain appropriate documentation for facility equipment, systems, and components. Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement equipment and systems. Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures. Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of facility equipment, systems, and components performed by others. Work independently with minimal supervision.
