Come grow your career with an award- winning team!   BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operation of GECU’s facilities and equipment. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems plus performing preventive maintenance tasks and responding to maintenance orders promptly to minimize downtime. TYPICAL DUTIES Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Diagnoses technical issues and determines appropriate solutions. Maintains and restores functionality across critical infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, through targeted component repair or replacement. Uses diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and fix issues Ensures compliance with all safety standards. Responds promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Provides on-call support as needed to address urgent issues outside of regular working hours. Follows proper driving and safety regulations while operating company vehicle. Maintain and understand compliance to ensure that work complies with GECU’s established policies, procedures and applicable regulations, to include Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML) addressing Money Laundering and the Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Member Identification Program (MIP), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC). Other duties as may be assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the credit union. Qualifications CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Journeyman license in a related trade or 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a commercial environment. Strong knowledge and experience in basic plumbing, electrical, or HVAC. Proven problem-solving skills and attention to details. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and other documents. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects. Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions and at high elevation. Clean driving record and the ability to drive a commercial van. Ability to use a computer and the internet. Requires a flexible work schedule. Requires standing and walking the majority of the day, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, kneeling and reaching above and below shoulder level continuously.
