Description:

MISSION:

To support the Plant Supervisor in the efficient & effective maintenance of Glanway’s Facility and equipment including conducting Glanway’s proactive & reactive maintenance programmes for the Facilities equipment. With the central aim of minimising plant downtime and maximising plant throughput. The Maintenance Technician will conduct the day to day maintenance of Glanway’s equipment whilst aligning with Glanway’s Core Purpose and Values.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

  • Possess a maintenance/fitter qualification recognized by the relevant authorities.
  • Have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues in industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics as well as fabrication.

Responsibilities:

  • Closely monitor processing line and machine performance during operations to identify problems
  • Conduct detailed checks on all Glanway equipment (in line with maintenance checklists)
  • Ensure all Glanway equipment is clean, greased and operating optimally including all Conveyors, Motor’s, Gearboxes, mobile machinery, etc.
  • Inform the Plant Supervisor of required spare parts and spare parts used during works so that new parts can be ordered in a timely manner
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating in compliance with Health & Safety requirements (Appropriate guarding etc.)
  • Immediately investigate breakdowns, report breakdown to the Plant Supervisor. Then support the implementation of the required solutions to get the plant back running as quickly as possible
  • Support the Maintenance Team to achieve maximum full plant uptime
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety processes and procedures at all times
  • Follow and reflect Glanway Core Values at all times
    Glanway’s residual MSW (general household waste) processing line.
