In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to foster a positive and collaborative environment while delivering outstanding service to our residents. Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in preserving the quality, appearance, and functionality of the community, directly contributing to resident satisfaction and retention. What You’ll Do: Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community for all residents and guests. Respond to residential service requests promptly and professionally using strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Prepare apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, pools, and building exteriors. Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the community remains a place residents are proud to call home. Requirements What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 2 years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, appliances, HVAC repairs, and building maintenance. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members. Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality work. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed. Education, Licenses & Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. EPA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification). Hands-on HVAC repair experience strongly preferred. Why Join GCI?
