Description Greater Nashua Mental Health is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team! The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance, cleanliness and repairs of GNMH property, equipment and grounds. Utilizes several trade skills such as light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and heating and cooling. Assists in courier services between GNMH properties. Understands and acts in accordance with safety and regulatory compliance standards. Duties & Responsibilities: Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventative maintenance, and completes maintenance and repair records, as required. Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, to include plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC, and others as may be assigned or as directed by the Facilities Coordinator or Director of Facilities. Performs carpentry, furniture assembly, locksmith services, and plumbing tasks as needed or as directed by the Facilities Coordinator. Repairs drywall and paints walls as needed or as directed by the Facilities Coordinator. Performs landscaping and snow removal duties as needed. Performs routine and specialized janitorial duties as needed Utilizes electronic work ticket system (FMX) to obtain work orders and log daily activities May be required to work evening or weekend hours to complete time-sensitive projects Completes preventative maintenance on systems as scheduled and instructed. Assists with inter-office mail delivery and coordination of mail and package deliveries as needed. Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 1 to 2 years related working experience General knowledge of carpentry and mechanical systems Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment Motivated by a strong work ethic and possess a great attitude Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Email, Word, EXCEL) Why Join Us: We are looking for collaborative, curious for knowledge people with a “can do” mentality to join our team of compassionate employees!
