We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add an Maintenance Technician to our dynamic team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical ability to perform indicated task
  • Be able to work on ladders and lifts as well as in confined spaces and crawl spaces both overhead and under floors
  • Precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
    Shift: To Be Determined: (Morning, Midday and Evening)
    Compensation: $29.28 - $31.17 per hour (Based on Experienced), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k.
    *This is a Local 30 Union Operation. The successful candidate will be enrolled in the Local 30 Union upon hiring.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid US driver’s License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier’s criteria
  • Substantial knowledge of building operations & maintenance
  • Be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, service manuals, shop drawings, diagrams and work orders to perform required maintenance work
  • Be able to inspect electrical and mechanical breakdowns, check the equipment’s maintenance history, talk with machine operators, and take the information into account to correctly diagnose the cause of failure and perform needed corrective actions
  • Be able to identify and resolve maintenance problems encountered that may cause delays, shutdown, or damage to equipment
  • Be able to use a mobile phone to read work orders, track work notifications, log performed maintenance work, etc.
  • Be able to submit reports, orally, or in writing on the progress of open work orders in Maximo
  • Skilled in maintenance and repair procedures including preventative maintenance, breakdown repair, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to access input and retrieve information from a computer system for word processing, records retrieval and maintenance, research, and communication purposes
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneousl

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reported service calls of mechanical or maintenance-related issues
  • Complete any preventive maintenance task assigned to you including skilled-level service call tasks involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other trade
  • Routine repairs on plumbing parts and fixtures including clearing sink drains, clogged toilets, clogged sewer, drain lines, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Repairing/replacing thermostats, cleaning and maintaining space heaters
  • Repairing/replacing window screens and latches, and making minor repairs to doors
  • Assist in maintaining the fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other Fire Life Safety Systems within the terminal
  • Re-lamping of lighting fixtures
  • Repairs involving sheet metal repair
  • Maintain awareness of the typical hazards of the workplace as well as the special hazards that may be encountered
  • Follow all established governmental (local, state, and federal) procedures for dealing with special hazards; and promptly report any unusual conditions to your supervisor
  • Keep company tools and equipment in good condition
  • Perform in a well-organized and controlled way
  • Re-organize after at the end of each task
