Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance,
troubleshooting breakdowns, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic
systems across production lines. This role supports the safe and efficient operation of
our corrugated packaging manufacturing equipment and facility.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery including corrugators, flexo folders, die cutters, conveyors, and other converting equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  1. Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair
  • Respond quickly to unplanned equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes of malfunctions.
  • Replace or repair defective components (motors, belts, sensors, bearings, etc.) as needed.
  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory usage records.
  • Follow all company health & safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  1. Continuous Improvement & Team Support
  • Work closely with production teams to improve machine uptime and process reliability.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Support new equipment installations, machine setups, and plant projects as needed.
  • Assist management with additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Completed OSSD or equivalent required.
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in corrugated packaging or similar industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • English language; verbal and written required.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
  • Involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
