QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Must have basic power tools
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Plumbing experience (preferred)
  • Prior experience in trades, construction, or pool maintenance is an asset.
  • Comfortable working around water; must know how to swim.
  • Ability to work at heights when needed.
  • WHMIS Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Willingness to learn about the swimming pool industry and take on new challenges.
  • Familiarity with smartphone and tablet technology.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and working in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors effectively and professionally, both oral and written in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in pool service, plumbing, carpentry or general maintenance.
  • WHMIS Certification

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We specialized in service repair and renovations: concrete, tile, piping systems, filtration and automation, and pool covers. This role is all about keeping pools and spas in top condition through regular maintenance and service. This includes water testing and balancing chemicals to maintain safe and clean pool environments. Plumbing repairs as needed. When we’re not servicing and repairing pools, we take care of general upkeep, including property cleaning and seasonal tasks. Since we are a small growing company, we all pitch in where needed, so being flexible and eager to learn is the key!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform water testing using a Test Kit and adjust chemical levels as needed.
  • Clean and maintain pools and spas in all aspects.
  • Ensure client properties are tidy after service – clean up work areas and leave no mess behind following the Holiday Pools’ standards.
  • Complete service reports from daily site inspections and documentation.
  • Build on and maintain knowledge and understanding of building mechanical systems.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work as needed: Plumbing repairs, tile repairs, plaster repairs as needed.
  • Assist and Perform other duties as required – help out with general tasks as our team works together to keep things running smoothly.
  • Landscape or outdoor work (site preparation, grading, etc.)
  • Blueprint reading or layout experience is a plus.
