Description About Us Horizon Project, Inc. supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential and employment services. We have group homes and offices across Umatilla County. We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to help us keep everything safe, functional, and well cared for. This position reports to the Lead Maintenance Technician. Location This position is based in Milton-Freewater but requires regular travel to Pendleton and Hermiston. Maintenance vehicle provided. Pay $18 per hour (or more DOE) Eligible for overtime Schedule Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM (40 hours per week) Ability to respond to occasional after-hours emergency maintenance requests Job Duties Perform manual labor Basic maintenance services for residential homes, offices, and company vehicles Operate power and manual tools safely and efficiently. Have working knowledge of tools, materials, methods and practice used in maintenance. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Read and interpret equipment manuals and online work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Follows transportation safety guidelines when operating Horizon vehicle during work hours. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed. Works independently without direct supervision. Professional communication with support staff, clients with disabilities, and state licensing officials.
