Description Maintenance Technician Location: Medical Complex in the Caldwell Area Pay Range: $18–$20/hour (DOE) Howard Building Maintenance is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of a well-established medical complex in the Caldwell area. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily building walkthroughs to inspect and report on interior and exterior conditions Conduct preventative maintenance and light repair work across the facility Monitor and maintain lighting (interior and exterior), safety signage, and HVAC temperature control Ensure restrooms and common areas are clean, stocked, and in working order Check for cleanliness and proper function of stairwells, walkways, exits, and parking areas Ensure proper operation of mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, and fire alarm panels Monitor grounds for trash, debris, and landscape maintenance needs Inspect and maintain equipment rooms, ensuring clearances are met and systems are running Oversee elevator cleanliness and condition Address and resolve maintenance concerns in a timely manner Required Skills & Qualities: Strong observational and troubleshooting skills Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking building grounds, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Comfortable using a computer to log reports, track tasks, and communicate Willing and able to learn new software tools as part of daily routine Strong communication and customer service mindset Must be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality work Schedule:Monday–Friday (daytime hours) with occasional need for weekend availability based on facility needs Why Join Us?At Howard Building Maintenance, we pride ourselves on professionalism, integrity, and excellent service.
