Join our team at Vericast as a Maintenance Technician I, where you’ll help ensure our production equipment operates efficiently and reliably every day.What You’ll DoAs a Maintenance Technician I, you’ll:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.Support operators with minor maintenance needs and help identify root causes of equipment problems.Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and maintenance activities.Assist higher-level technicians with equipment rebuilds, upgrades, and improvement projects.Collaborate with team leaders, engineers, and operators to prioritize equipment needs and improve performance.QualificationsWhat You’ll BringHigh School Diploma or GED required; additional mechanical or electronic coursework preferred.Strong mechanical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Experience using Windows-based PC applications.Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and hot work permit procedures a plus.COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTSConverses with equipment operators to ascertain whether mechanical or human error contributed to equipment breakdown. Requires continuous communication with Team Leaders or Managers to update status and align equipment priorities. Communication with suppliers, customers (internal and external), and corporate engineering is required.DECISION MAKINGJudgment and decision-making required on a daily basis concerning machine downtime and trouble-shooting.OTHERHave working knowledge of lock out tag out and hot work permits procedures.
