Description Job Overview Maintenance Technician I is an intermediate-level role responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems. This position supports plant reliability initiatives by reducing downtime, executing work orders efficiently, and ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Perform routine preventive maintenance including lubrication, filter changes, belt replacement, and inspections 2. Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues 3. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and assist in root cause analysis efforts 4. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions 5. Maintain accurate work order documentation within the CMMS system 6. Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new or modified equipment 7. Collaborate with operators and supervisors to improve equipment reliability 8. Maintain tools, parts inventory, and organized work areas 9. Adhere strictly to safety policies including Lockout/Tagout procedures 10. Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance with flexibility for overtime as required Preferred Skills 1. Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and motor controls 2. Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred 3. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems 4. Familiarity with CNC fabrication equipment (plasma, laser, press brakes) preferred 5. Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude Minimum Experience and Qualifications Five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of employees or others. Education and/or Equivalent Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Vocational or technical training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred. Preferred Training, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Training: Basic Hydraulic, Basic Electrical, CMMS Experience, Lock Out Tag Out, 5S Experience OSHA 10 preferred Forklift and/or crane certification preferred Critical Skills Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills including CMMS systems and Microsoft Office. Physical Demands Occasionally: Sit, climb, work at heights up to 60 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds Regularly: Stand, walk, talk or hear, and lift up to 25 pounds Vision Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Work Environment warehouse environment
