Description GSF Properties Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Technician I in Bakersfield, CA, come join a dynamic property management team! In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance functions throughout the community, including unit turns, painting, basic plumbing and electrical work, and assisting with the upkeep of residential common areas, office spaces, grounds, and parking lots. Your efforts will help ensure the property is well maintained and operated in alignment with ownership and management objectives. This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The pay for this position is $19-$21/hour. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and maintenance and repair work in areas including, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company operating procedures and standards. Assist in preparing vacant apartments to ensure they are market-ready and meet company quality standards. Maintain community grounds and curb appeal and trash management. Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies as needed Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items Report violations of lease and house rules Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies Maintaining excellent curb appeal Help maintaining excellent curb appeal GSF Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Employee assistance program 401K Life insurance Holidays Vacation To learn more about GSF Properties, please visit our website at https://www.gsfpi.com/ Requirements Job Requirements for Maintenance Technician II: Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance or a similar field Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, unit turnovers, work orders, and minor repairs (e.g., patching walls, fixing doorknobs) Basic computer and technology skills, including navigating web-based applications Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, accept constructive feedback, and communicate effectively Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed
