Description
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): 1. Responsible for mechanical repair on all plant equipment 2. Set-up machines for production 3. Connect pneumatic and hydraulic lines to equipment 4. Perform preventative maintenance 5. Install replacement parts and order parts as necessary 6. Repair leaks on machinery 7. Install, maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, piping, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 8. Assure that all aspects of work conform to Company safety practices 9. Assist assigned operator in try-out of equipment upon completion of servicing   Qualifications: 1. Ability to interpret hydraulic and/or pneumatic diagrams 2. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints 3. Knowledge in the use of precision measuring instruments, i.e., micrometers or calipers 4. Understanding of principles of welding, i.e., GMAW, SMAW, etc. and related safety knowledge 5. Understanding of principles of general fabrication 6. Ability to operate personnel lifts safely and effectively 7. Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively 8. General understanding of piping 9. General understanding of rigging 10. Ability to utilize various powered tools such as grinders and drills   Technical Competencies: 1. 2 year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred, but comparable experience in Mechanical field will be accepted, based on amount and quality of training and skill sets.   Non-Technical Competencies: 1. Strong communication skills 2. Training and coaching skills 3. Teamwork skills 4. Results oriented Actual shift is 7am to 5pm EST Must be able to work up to 7pm and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for mechanical repairs on all plant equipment and setting up machines for production. Additional duties include performing preventative maintenance and assisting operators with equipment try-outs after servicing.
