Description Function and Scope: (Brief statement of purpose and main objectives of position) Inspects, repairs and maintains mechanical equipment utilizing diagrams, sketches and operation/technical manuals. Participates, leads and executes planned preventative/predictive maintenance activities. Assists with spare parts management. Utilizes systematic and tactical approach in applying Lean Manufacturing techniques, analysis methods and problem-solving tools. The Maintenance position will need to demonstrate good project management skills as well as be able to communicate efficiently and effectively within their team, between departments and within the international project teams. The position will also act as a proxy for the Maintenance Supervisor of the department. Requirements Core Competencies: · Team player and able to build and maintain positive work relationships within LignoTech Florida and between the site and respective vendors. · Sound understanding and can demonstrate knowledge of fluid mechanics and respective components such as valves, pumps, agitators. · Able to read diagrams/schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. · Able to use electrical instrumentation and devices such as PLCs, low-/medium- and high-voltage electrical fault-finding equipment, flow and level transmitters. · Able to conduct most mechanical equipment repairs as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems and use measurement tools such as Vernier calipers, dial indicators, levels and alignment tooling. · Able to work independently with minimal supervision. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. · Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback. Minimum Requirements: · Certification, apprenticeship or accredited technical education in a relevant field. · Able to read diagrams/schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. · Ability to operate equipment safely; able to work in confined space such as tanks and vessels. · Demonstrate knowledge of applying quality and problem-solving tools with impact on Key Performance Indicators. · Able to lead and execute projects effectively and efficiently in English. · Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. · Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2–3 years of industrial maintenance or related work experience. Proven proficiency in various welding applications. Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in preventive maintenance (PM) activity planning and spare parts ordering. Associate degree or higher in a relevant technical field. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or possession of related certifications. Strong analytical thinking skills with a track record of successful project implementation. Experience participating in plant or production start-up or expansion projects. Demonstrated ability to lead medium-to-large scale improvement projects or experience in operational leadership roles. · .
