Maintenance Technician I Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Facility Maintenance Technician II performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical electrical, and physical structures. maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOP’s internal requirements, manufactures specifications, and safety policies. Additionally, the facility Maintenance Technician II works under the close direction of senior personnel. This candidate possesses an elevated understanding of all aspects of the job and requires 3 - 5 years work related work experience. Pay Rate Range (Based on experience): $29.00 - $35.00 per hour Qualifications Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus Preferred Skills: Hazard awareness and knowledge of isolation practices Example: Lock-out Tag-out PPE understanding use and requirements Using CMMS or paper records to log maintenance work Hand Tool dexterity Power tool dexterity Tape measure proficiency and read all increments of an inch in a 1/16” Ability to convert fractions to decimals in 1/16” increments. Lubrication Proficiency and Recognition of fill points and Grease zerks Proficient in repetitive disassembly and reassembly of mechanical items Knowledge and proficiency in the parts ordering process Proficient in Stick, Mig welding of steel Proficient in reading a Caliper Knowledge of and proficiency in using an electrical multi-meter Knowledge of Fabrication techniques used during welding Example Clamping, Square Checking, Jig set up Proficient in Plumbing and with knowledge of fitting terminology Hydraulics Solenoid block symbol and flow understanding with the ability to troubleshoot spool shifting issues, leaking o rings, and coil failure Knowledge of the three common Hydraulic fitting usage and proficiency in hose fabrication Knowledge of Relay logic, and terminal connections for NC, NO, and COIL Chain and coupler familiarity with knowledge and skill in obtaining 0/0 alinement with a dial indicator Belt and sheave understanding of proper selection and tension maintenance. 3phase motor knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting bearing failure, coil failure, and root causes of each Single and 3-phase transformer knowledge and proficiency in wiring Frequency Drive Set up and understanding Knowledge of electrical circuit protection requirements and wire size selection for supported amp loads Proficiency in Conduit bending and electrical fitting knowledge Ability to tear down unfamiliar components on any mechanical assembly identify and repair worn or failed parts and reassemble. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and electrical ladder diagrams. Ability to start, Stop, and operate machines assigned to PM and repair Ability to hoist, support, and manipulate large mechanical components safely for service of equipment or parts swap Able to set up square alignments of Sander Platens on Trimmer along with dialing in tilts and blade cuts Ability to locate and diagnose looseness in ball screw components and signs of bearing fatigue and correct before production detected failure. Ability to locate and diagnose signs of bearing failure, chain stretch, coupler failure, set screw looseness and, belt wear before production detected failure. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two to three years' relevant experience. Operational knowledge of molding machines. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Experience reading blueprints and diagrams. Understanding of safety regulations. Door, window, or construction background preferred.
