Description Maintenance Technician II Louisville, KY 1st Shift: $22–$26/hr. (DOE) + OT (1.5x after 40 hrs.) 2nd/3rd Shift: $22–$28/hr. (DOE, includes shift differential) + OT 8-Hour Shifts | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire What This Job Is Really About If you’re the type who can walk up to a machine, figure out what’s wrong, and fix it, you’ll do well here. This is a hands-on role working on both mechanical and electrical systems, keeping production equipment running and jumping in when things go down. What Your Day May Look Like Start your shift with a safety meeting Review work orders and prioritize repairs Inspect equipment and troubleshoot issues on the floor Repair motors, wiring, or mechanical components to get machines back up Perform preventive maintenance before breakdowns happen Test systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools Work with other techs on larger or recurring issues Log repairs and updates in CMMS before shift end What You’ll Be Working On Packaging lines, conveyors, and processing equipment Motors, pumps, compressors, and drive systems Electrical systems: wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and air handlers Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Facility systems (lighting, plumbing, walls, floors, etc.) Tools & Equipment: Multimeters and electrical testing tools Hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Precision measuring tools CMMS systems for tracking work orders Blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals What You’ll Be Doing Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components Install and repair wiring, motors, and control systems Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, inspections, filter changes) Inspect drives, belts, motors, and fluid levels using checklists Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts Fabricate or modify parts using tools and specifications Test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and repairs Assist with inventory tracking for parts and supplies Support equipment installs and system upgrades Follow all safety standards (LOTO, OSHA, etc.) Requirements What You Bring 3–5+ years of maintenance experience (industrial preferred) Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical) Experience working with motors, controls, and production equipment Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.) Familiarity with CMMS systems Bonus If You Have PLC or controls experience Welding or machining experience Maintenance certifications or an apprenticeship background Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Work Environment Active industrial setting (lifting, climbing, working on your feet) Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights or on ladders/scaffolding Flexibility for overtime, weekends, or shift changes Why This Role Is Worth It Competitive pay + overtime at 1.5x Opportunity for temp-to-hire + long-term growth Hands-on work where your skills actually matter Exposure to a wide range of industrial systems and equipment Apply Today If you’re a solid maintenance tech who can troubleshoot, fix, and keep things running—we want to hear from you.
