Description GSF Properties Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Technician II in Bakersfield, CA, come join a dynamic property management team! In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance functions throughout the community, including unit turns, painting, basic plumbing and electrical work, and assisting with the upkeep of residential common areas, office spaces, grounds, and parking lots. Your efforts will help ensure the property is well maintained and operated in alignment with ownership and management objectives. This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The pay for this position is $20-22 per hour, plus benefits. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and maintenance and repair work in areas including, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company operating procedures and standards. Assist in preparing vacant apartments to ensure they are market-ready and meet company quality standards. Maintain community grounds and curb appeal and trash management. Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies as needed Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items Report violations of lease and house rules Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies Maintaining excellent curb appeal Help maintaining excellent curb appeal GSF Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Employee assistance program 401K Life insurance Holidays Vacation To learn more about GSF Properties, please visit our website at https://www.gsfpi.com/ Requirements Job Requirements for Maintenance Technician II: Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair Experience completing unit turnovers and handling work orders in a timely manner Ability to perform minor repairs, including patching walls, fixing fixtures, and general upkeep Basic computer skills, including navigating web-based applications and work order systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive feedback Strong communication and organizational skills Knowledge of appliances and plumbing systems preferred Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Professional demeanor with a commitment to punctuality and reliability Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed
