Description Maintenance Technician II – First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Pay: $22–$24/hour Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician II to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. You will also collaborate with senior technicians and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the facility. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment such as HVAC systems, motors, pumps, compressors, and plumbing systems Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues with minimal downtime Install and set up new equipment, ensuring proper calibration and testing Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Replace and repair components, including belts, bearings, seals, and valves Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades Assist with emergency repairs while following all safety procedures Support the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs Maintain inventory of parts and tools to ensure timely repairs Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards Collaborate with team members and assist in mentoring junior technicians Requirements Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred) 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters) Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints Experience with CMMS systems Knowledge of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout Preferred: Certifications in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or electrical systems (EPA, OSHA, etc.) Experience with PLCs, BAS, or industrial control systems Background in manufacturing or industrial environments Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Solid communication and documentation skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Close attention to detail and commitment to safety Work Environment & Requirements Ability to lift to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies Why Join Us?
