Description Position Summary The Maintenance Technician III serves as a technical leader responsible for complex troubleshooting, project coordination, and mentoring. This position ensures high system reliability and continuous improvement across plant operations. Key Responsibilities Lead root cause analysis and diagnostics for major equipment breakdowns. Coordinate daily maintenance priorities with planners and supervisors. Train, coach, and mentor Level 1 and 2 technicians. Design and implement safety and reliability improvements to machinery. Maintain expert-level knowledge of plant systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, automation). Support USDA, Cal/OSHA, and CCOF compliance audits through documentation and system verification. Participate in capital project planning, installations, and commissioning. Required Skills & Experience Advanced mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting expertise. Strong PLC and automation knowledge (Allen-Bradley preferred). Ability to analyze downtime data and recommend solutions. Leadership, planning, and cross-departmental communication skills. Advancement Criteria Proven leadership and mentorship record. Completion of advanced technical certifications (Industrial Electrical, Controls, Welding, etc.). Consistent reliability, initiative, and technical excellence. Approval from supervisor and management team.
