Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician 3 ensures all equipment is running smoothly through quick in-depth troubleshooting and repair of all types of manufacturing equipment. Will be called on to fix urgent issues or project work to rebuild or modify equipment to improve efficiency. Working as a team with other technicians, machine operators, supervisors, and engineers, the Maintenance Technician 3 will collaborate to resolve mechanical issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Follow all the required safe working practices. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing all required PPE, lockout-tagout, confined space entry, chemical handling, working at height, etc. * Maintain a clean and safe work area.  * Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and facilities, including equipment and line changeovers  * Immediately report any food safety and food quality related issues to management * Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment (Multimeter) * Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facility as required. * Operate production-related equipment as required. * Maintain industrial control systems hardware. * Modify existing equipment to enhance performance or improve a process. * Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs safely and in a timely manner. * Complete required daily paperwork, document parts and material usage * Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks on time, maintaining high quality standards. * Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. * Communicate across shifts, departments, and management regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production lines. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Follow all the required safe working practices. Preferred Experience: * 4+ years of experience in a food and beverage maintenance environment or an associate degree/Technical certificate in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or engineering-related field * Continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. * Knowledge of sanitary pipes, fittings, and valves. * Knowledge of packaging and tape machines. * Knowledge of Fluid Power - pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, valves * Knowledge of Power Transmission – gear, Sprockets, Chains, Pullies * Experience in manufacturing, bottling, beverage, or packaging. * Experience with the following technologies: * Variable frequency drive (VFD), sensors: photo eyes, level, pressure, flow * Beverage processing equipment: brewing, extraction, admix, filling: rotary fillers, bag filling, Form fill seal.  * Manufacturing lines and changeovers: bottling, bags, pails, totes. * HVAC includes boilers, chillers, and air compressors. * Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting. * Experience working in and troubleshooting inside of Control panels, working with 24VDC, 208V 1PH, 208/480V 3PH. Physical Demands * Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operations * Must possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills to meet essential job performance and safety standards. * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasks * Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment * Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day; ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques to ensure safety Work Environment * Employees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilation * Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocols * Ability to work in elevated positions, at up to 50 feet and using proper safety precautions * Must be able to work in limited or cramped spaces and extend arms into machinery for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance tasks, while following all established safety protocols Quality Statement:  * Our Quality and Food Safety Management strategy is anchored by our food safety and quality culture and a two-pronged approach to “be the best” as we produce “only the best”.
