Description Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Club's common areas. This role supports both routine janitorial functions and light maintenance duties, reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance. Team members will represent the values and mission of the Island Country Club in their daily work. Normal working schedule is 40 hours/week; 7:00 am to 3:30pm with 1/2 hour for lunch. Roles and Responsibilities Perform daily inspections of common areas, including restrooms, clubhouse, lobbies, and walkways, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of debris throughout the property. Clean and sanitize restrooms, clubhouse facilities, and common area furnishings regularly. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated indoor and outdoor common spaces. Clean windows, light fixtures, walls, and doors in common areas. Repair and maintaining mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment Replace light bulbs and batteries in common areas as needed. Assist with setup and breakdown of association events, including tables, chairs, and cleaning before and after. Comply with all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately. Assist with minor touch-up painting or simple repairs when directed. Provide a positive and respectful presence while working in resident areas. Perform additional task as assigned, pressure washing walkways as needed, etc. Occasional projects throughout property. Strong customer service, communication both orally and in writing, and interpersonal skills required. Work independently with limited supervision. Attends departmental staff meetings and safety meetings. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Building Maintenance. Requirements Knowledge of how to maintain, clean and preserve a wide variety of building and furniture, fixtures and equipment surfaces. Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies; use as directed. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations. High School diploma or GED desirable. One year of comparable work preferred
