Description We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art bakery equipment while contributing to the production of premium artisan sourdough products that delight customers nationwide. Key Responsibilities Equipment Management & Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs on all production equipment Perform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and established PM schedules Monitor machinery performance to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational efficiency Technical Expertise Diagnose and resolve issues with 3-phase power systems and motor control circuits Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions in a timely manner Identify and recommend opportunities for equipment improvements and operational enhancements Inventory & Communication Track and communicate parts inventory needs based on usage patterns to the Plant Engineer Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Collaborate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities Safety & Compliance Strictly adhere to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety protocols Maintain clean, organized work areas before shift completion Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safety Additional Duties Support special projects and initiatives as assigned Participate in continuous improvement efforts Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed Position Details Reports to: Maintenance Engineer Application Deadline: October 20, 2025 Starting Salary: $32/hour (competitive compensation based on experience) Schedule: Weekend availability is a must Comprehensive Benefits Package At izzio Artisan Bakery, we're committed to supporting your overall well-being, professional growth, and financial security through our comprehensive benefits program: Health & Wellness Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage Employee Assistance Program providing confidential support, resources, and counseling services for personal and work-related challenges Subsidized vending services for convenient, affordable access to snacks and beverages Financial Benefits 401(k) retirement plan with generous company matching Competitive hourly wages with opportunities for advancement Work-Life Balance Paid time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Flexible scheduling considerations for operational needs Professional Development Educational Assistance Program supporting ongoing learning and career advancement Opportunities for skill development and internal promotion Requirements Required Qualifications Education & Experience One of the following: Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical field Three years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipment Equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience Technical Skills Essential: Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systems Highly Preferred: Electrical experience with industrial systems Preferred: Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery Demonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls Work Requirements Availability: Must be able to commit to a 4-day, 10-hour per day schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needs Reliability: Strong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirements Physical Requirements This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks in an industrial environment: Sustained Activity: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday Lifting Requirements: Must be able to frequently lift and move items weighing over 75 pounds with assistance Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of bakery operations Mobility: Capability to access equipment in confined spaces and elevated positions safely
