We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Equipment Management & Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs on all production equipment Perform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and established PM schedules Monitor machinery performance to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational efficiency Technical Expertise Diagnose and resolve issues with 3-phase power systems and motor control circuits Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions in a timely manner Identify and recommend opportunities for equipment improvements and operational enhancements Inventory & Communication Track and communicate parts inventory needs based on usage patterns to the Plant Engineer Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Collaborate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities Safety & Compliance Strictly adhere to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety protocols Maintain clean, organized work areas before shift completion Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safety Additional Duties Support special projects and initiatives as assigned Participate in continuous improvement efforts Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed Requirements Required Qualifications Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical field Three years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipment Equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience Essential: Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systems Highly Preferred: Electrical experience with industrial systems Preferred: Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery Demonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needs Reliability: Strong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirements Physical Requirements Sustained Activity: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday Lifting Requirements: Must be able to frequently lift and move items weighing over 75 pounds with assistance Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of bakery operations Mobility: Capability to access equipment in confined spaces and elevated positions safely At izzio, you’re more than just an employee, you’re a key ingredient in our success.
