Job Details Job Location: Ashtabula, OH 44004 SUMMARY To install, repair and maintain production equipment, buildings and facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Installs, sets up and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment as directed and assists others with electrical equipment. 2. Possesses a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings. Diagnosis and employs the proper procedures for the relief of trouble. 3. Uses rigging when necessary to accomplish the job. 4. Determines when parts need replacement and repairs are necessary. 5. Possesses a working knowledge of mechanical drawings and sketches, and understands and reads electrical schematics and the necessary tools of the trade. 6. Works in the company of others in the performance of both mechanical and electrical duties. 7. Works in cooperation with the Production department at all times. 8. Possesses a working knowledge of the following equipment. 1. Arc and gas welding and cutting equipment. ii. Power tools such as drill press, cut-off saw, and portable power tools. iii. Hand tools of the mechanical and electrical trades. iv. Hoisting equipment. 9. Uses safe working practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times. 10. Fills out records as required. 11. Directs the activities of another when assigned. 12. Possesses the necessary tools of the trade. 13. Trains inexperienced employees on the job as required. 14. Works in teams with others in E & Rand Production. 15. Performs other miscellaneous jobs as directed. 16. Keeps E&R equipment and working area clean and orderly. 17. Operates mobile and hoisting equipment in performance o E&R work. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Works within JM Eagle guidelines and policies of JM Eagle Manufacturing. Follows guidelines and directives supplied by Supervisor. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Electrical and mechanical experience, complete capability to read and make mechanical and electrical drawings. Good knowledge of electrical codes. 5+ years experience in maintenance repairs. COMPUTER SKILLS Some computer experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
