We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Maintenance Technician to fill a permanent position in London, ON, supporting our Automotive business. Responsibilities

SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN?

  • Based on technical skill (electrician, mechanic, tooling) responsible for resolving Equipment break downs.
  • Responsible for fulfilling the preventive maintenance plan.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of preventive maintenance plan, based on lesson learned.
  • Support during the development and installation of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Support in the development and implementation of improvement activities for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure legal and EHS compliance regarding all changes implemented for manufacturing equipment and the facility
  • Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

  • Trained Technician (Electrician, Mechanics, Control, Tooling, or the like)
  • 2-3 years of working experience in the trained area
  • Ideally, experienced in manufacturing companies
  • Technical expertise in respective area
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Understanding of LEAN methods (TPM, SMED, or the like) and preventive maintenance
