Description The Berkshire of Burnsville is a prestigious townhome community conveniently located just off I-35E, with close access to I-35W. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards for our property and providing exceptional service to our residents. We are seeking an additional experienced, dependable Maintenance Engineer to support day-to-day maintenance operations for our rental townhome community. This role is hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Applicants must provide their own tools. Location: Burnsville, MN Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience On-Call: Rotational nights and weekends Requirements Complete service requests and work orders in a timely, professional manner Perform preventative and seasonal maintenance, including HVAC start-up/shut-down Maintain property grounds, building exteriors, interiors, and common areas Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues Conduct routine inspections of buildings and report needed repairs Communicate daily with Property Management regarding completed work Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Professional, courteous communication with residents and staff Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor Must pass a background check Preferred / Additional Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to obtain a Boiler License within 6 months of employment (if required) Experience in multi-family or townhome communities is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $25–$30/hour Stable daytime schedule (Mon–Fri) Well-maintained, high-quality community Supportive management team Opportunity for long-term growth Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental benefits, 401k, Paid Time Off
