Description We’re looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to become a key part of our team. In this role, you’ll use your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to keep operations running smoothly through routine maintenance and timely repairs. Check electrical systems such as air-conditioning control, television sets, and lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacements. Perform electronic lock repairs, programming, telephone system, and television maintenance. Check and make minor repairs on plumbing systems/fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks. Refurbish furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Touch up paint and finishes on doors and fixtures as needed. Respond in a courteous manner to guest questions and/or to ensure guest satisfaction. Assist with snow removal during the winter months. Assist the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer in any project as directed. To follow all safety procedures in conformance with the laws having jurisdiction. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Must be 18 years or older Ability to communicate in English with guests and associates to their understanding. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision. Ability to exert physical effort in transporting supplies. Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties. Ability to adapt to priority changes in workflow or requirements. Ability to operate and remain extremely alert while operating equipment, machinery, and tools. Ability to ensure the security of guestroom access and hotel property. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
Responsibilities
Maintain hotel property quality through routine preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to requests and assisting the Director of Engineering with various projects.
