Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Berlin, Germany Field: Automotive Type: Full-time Tasks: Performing maintenance work (in accordance with DIN 31051) on operating equipment, including machine tools, operating facilities, technical supply systems, building technology Supporting all ancillary maintenance processes, including preparation and follow-up of work, spare parts provision, documentation of activities performed in the systems of the KB Analyzing faults and malfunctions in extensive operating equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, using diagnostic systems and technical documentation where necessary Analyzing and eliminating weak points or assisting in the development of proposals for eliminating weak points. Determining and agreeing on the type and scope of fault and damage repair within certain limits according to economic considerations and carrying it out In important cases, informing the supervisor and making suggestions for damage repair Carrying out maintenance and repair work on operating equipment Commissioning systems Adapting machine controls Performing test runs and creating the relevant documentation Carrying out extensions and modifications to machines, systems, and infrastructure Including documentation changes Manufacturing additional and auxiliary equipment as required Supporting cross-departmental communication for all maintenance work Supporting the coordination of external companies, taking into account the relevant known HSE standards Supporting the continuous improvement process at R/GS / Further developing modern maintenance through the use of new technologies Creating new systems and extensions to technical systems according to specified plans Requirements: Minimum vocational training with many years of professional experience in mechatronics, mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, or MSR (measurement, control, and regulation) technology, or a comparable technical qualification. At least 3 years of professional experience Detailed specialist knowledge of MS Office Detailed specialist knowledge of SAP Business fluent in German Basic knowledge of English Technical and specialist knowledge of mechanical engineering, maintenance, and the operation of machines and systems Confident handling of technical documentation and drawings, proposing technical changes and improvements, and familiarization with documentation. Due to the complexity of the machinery, a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and independent action are required when performing work in compliance with all health, safety, and fire protection requirements.
