Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Assistant: * Ensure that the property is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. * Assist the Director of Building Operations with the maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical and other equipment. * Assist with room readiness to include painting, carpet cleaning and minor plumbing and electrical fixes. Qualifications of a Maintenance Technician: * Must be knowledgeable and capable of self-teaching to properly use tools associate with preventative maintenance and repairs. * High school diploma or equivalent.  * Prefer six months experience in building and maintenance or janitorial work. * High level of initiative and self-motivation with an emphasis on establishing and understanding processes with a strong attention to details. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with seniors, their family members and staff in a caring, compassionate manner. * Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and manage tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. * To reduce risk to our residents and team members, we require all employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and any required boosters.    Work Environment:  * Work Environment:  Active hands-on role within our senior living community.   * Location:  Lakewood, CO About The Ridge Senior Living  The Ridge Senior Living is a boutique family of luxury senior living communities in Salt Lake City, Utah and Lakewood, Colorado.
