MAINWAY METALWORKS

MAINWAY is known for superiority when producing complicated prototype parts for a large variety of industries. All tooling is designed in-house using (3-D) VISI software. We take pride in the fact that all the necessary tooling components including custom die shoes are machined in-house using our state-of-the-art CNC equipment.
MAINWAY’s in-house stamping department not only provides our customer with quality parts, it also provides added value, with spot welding, surface coatings, a robotic weld cell and a full assembly line.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our day shift 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday for our facility located in Burlington.

**ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED

**Mechanical Press Experience an asset
The Technician is responsible for examining mechanical equipment to diagnose problems, disassembling machines and repairing or replacing broken parts. The Technician will also be responsible for adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, cleaning and lubricating parts, ordering of replacement parts, inspecting completed repairs, and performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Millwright (Red Seal preferred)
  • Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge
  • Electrical knowledge is an asset
  • Safety training
  • 5-10+ years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work within a team oriented environment

Responsibilities

o Completing the Preventive Maintenance schedule
o Completing reactive or emergency maintenance
o Collaborating with outside providers (e.g. additional electricians, or additional millwrights when required)
o Check, report, and repair all equipment failures
o Completing equipment testing at the highest efficiency and quality
o Product handling, including equipment set-up and repair
o Troubleshooting equipment at the component level
o Repairing of component failures (i.e. Hydraulic pumps, valves, Pneumatic valves)
o Installing equipment and auxiliary equipment as required
o Supporting procedural plant shutdowns and start-ups
o Completing requisition forms for the ordering of new parts and equipment (as required)
o Completing all necessary paperwork daily, inclusive of Preventative Maintenance documentation
o Operating new equipment as required
o Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, including supporting the press dept. as needed
