JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong mechanical background, particularly within the metal fabrication industry, with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of industrial equipment. The Technician will ensure optimal performance and safety across production machinery, including CNC lasers, press brakes, welding machines, and more. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical systems. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and safety within our facility.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical understanding of industrial equipment systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or similar environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to be on-call as needed.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in a metal fabrication facility, particularly with CNC equipment (Press Brakes, Lasers, Punches, Forklifts).
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, including CNC lasers, press brakes, welding machines, forklifts, overhead cranes, air compressors, and more.
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance, including after-hours calls when required.
  • Conduct commercial vehicle inspections and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance methods, schedules, and policies for facility upkeep.
  • Coordinate training sessions related to maintenance practices, safety, and equipment handling.
  • Inspect and schedule repair with vendors for various systems such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effective procurement of supplies and parts.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance records using Unipoint and monitor equipment service hours.
  • Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning as needed.
  • Perform repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for repair tasks.
