Job Description: Mars Wrigley- Maintenance Technician- Elizabethtown, NJ Pay starting at $36.52- $40.58/hour (based on experience) and $1.50/hour shift premium This site manufactures Dove Chocolate Current Shift Schedule 4-Shift Rotation: Rotates between: 4th Shift: Week Off 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Weekday Shifts: 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday) Weekend Shifts: 12-hour shifts (off every other weekend) Future Shift Schedule: Early 2026: Transition to fixed shifts (in process) Additional information will be provided during the interview process. Description of Role: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in a fast-paced, high-production environment while effectively prioritizing multiple mechanical, electrical, and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and servicing advanced pneumatic systems, basic hydraulic systems, AC/DC electrical systems, automation (PLC and instrumentation), machining, and mechanical systems across all process and packaging equipment. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience and/or Technical degree or trade certification Fundamental understand of electrical systems and troubleshooting Understanding of hydraulic and/or pneumatic schematics Commitment to develop and enhance required technical skills. Proficient in computer software's (MS Office and email) Physical Requirements: Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English. Ability to read, write and understand English Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in a technical discipline or technical trade certification Previous food manufacturing experience Fabrication and welding experience PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills What will be your key responsibilities? Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on process and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul equipment with precision, maintaining close tolerances. Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on process and packaging equipment Support Operations with equipment setup, changeovers, and training operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities. Accurately document Work Orders (WO) using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance). Actively engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles by participating in Pillar Teams and training fellow Technicians and Operators in AM activities, including conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA). Comply with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, Confined Space protocols, and all Plant Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure machinery uptime and workplace safety.
