Located in the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, Michael Jordan's Steak House, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, and Sol Toro are a collection of elevated food, thoughtful beverages, and Heartfelt Hospitality. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining three high-volume, upscale restaurants located within Mohegan Sun Casino. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires approximately 30-35 hours per week. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, tile repair. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from restaurant management. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and supplies. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Handle emergency maintenance situations efficiently. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Assist in setting up and breaking down restaurant events as needed. Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods. Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid). Must be able to work in a high-paced, physically demanding environment. Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday. Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties. This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
