Help us make a difference as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician based from our site in Horsham.
£47,521 - £49,940 (after 3 months) per annum.
Shift Pattern is Monday to Friday with 1 out of 4 Saturday’s.
Week one - 06:45 - 14:45
Week two - 14:30 - 22:30

OUR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant backgrounds include: Maintenance Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer, Electrical or Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Engineer, or Maintenance Fitter.
  • Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Industrial Electrical Maintenance qualification or experience desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with:


    • Centrifugal, progressive cavity, and rotary lobe pumps

    • Conveyor belts and screw conveyors
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Basic electrical engineering
    • Compressors, motors, and gearboxes
    Responsibilities

    A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROLE.

    The Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within the MBT facility.

    YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES.

    • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automated systems including conveyors, shredders, pumps, fans, and other waste processing equipment.
    • Diagnose faults in machinery and systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimise disruptions.
    • Carry out electrical installations and repairs, including work on control systems, motor circuits, switchgear, and PLC systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
    • Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, bearings, and rotating machinery.
    • Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce breakdowns.
    • Adhere to site health and safety regulations, carry out risk assessments, and ensure all maintenance work is performed safely.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault findings, parts used, and maintenance schedules, while updating supervisors regularly.
    • Identify and implement improvements in maintenance and operational processes to boost efficiency and safety.
