In our low-income senior living community, your job is about more than just fixing leaks and making repairs; it's about making sure our residents can live with dignity in a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained home. You will ensure development and execution of a preventative maintenance plan in conjunction with your property manager in accordance with current Policies and Procedures. Problem solving, time management, leadership, teamwork, and budgeting skills are necessary. Familiarity with computers and electronics are desired. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance: Perform routine repairs including plumbing (leaky faucets, toilet clogs), electrical (bulb replacement, outlet repair), HVAC troubleshooting, and basic carpentry. Unit Turns: Efficiently prep vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, flooring repairs, and deep cleaning. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of common areas and mechanical rooms to catch issues. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain the property to meet local housing authority and HUD standards. Ensure all fire codes and safety regulations are strictly followed. Emergency Response: Availability for after-hours emergencies. Resident Relations: Interact with senior residents with patience and respect, often entering their homes to perform repairs while ensuring their comfort and privacy. Equal Opportunity Employer.
