We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our program in Warminster, PA.   The ideal candidate will have:  * Skills to operate hand and power tools used in craft, perform basic math. * Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, basic carpentry, basic plumbing. * Ability to stand for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, establish priorities, work independently and with minimal supervision. * Significant physical abilities include, lifting/carrying, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing, conversations, near visual acuity. * Must be able to lift 50 Lbs. consistently and repetitively. * Must understand how to use a computer and smartphone to complete a close work order, and document purchases/upload receipts using Concur. Earn between $23-29/hour based on years of experience and Enhanced Pay. Role Responsibilities:    1)Diagnose problems and or failures for the purpose of identifying repair and replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems 2) Install, repair equipment and systems for the purpose of providing comfort and safety at Merakey facilities. 3) Orders supplies, equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignment in a timely manner. 4) Must be able to use Iphone and computer to review, complete and close Work order using Tango Work order maintenance system. 5) Must be able to use computer to document receipts and purchases using Concur. 6) Records reports (e.g., work orders, EPA log, estimates, repairs logs, etc) for the purpose of documenting information for other personnel. 7) Repairs equipment for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. 8) Responds to emergency situation (e.g., electrical failures, malfunctioning bulbs, receptacles, motors, heating elements, water leaks, oil loss, sprinkler/fire alarm issues, emergency snow removal, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. 9) Transports various items (e.g., equipment, supplies, ice melt, sheetrock, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at job sites as required to complete task. 10) Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. 11) Coordinates with Administrators, supervisors, helpers and other Maintenance technicians for the purpose of completing projects/ work orders efficiently. 12) Guides Maintenance Helpers and assists other Maintenance workers for the purpose of assisting and providing support in the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and equipment safety in various Merakey facilities   Merakey is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer! We deeply value diversity and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ethnic background, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, or disability status. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * High School diploma/GED with at least a year of relevant work experience OR 2 years in trade school related to the field * Valid Driver’s license * 1-3 years' experience in completing General maintenance work, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
