Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This position is responsible for supporting production through the maintenance of equipment and machines utilized to produce quality products at or below standard cost.
To meet the job requirements the Junior maintenance technician must be able to sit, stand, walk to lift (50lbs) from floor to overhead, carrying, crawl under, crawl over, crouch, bend / twist/turn, gripping, use ladders, reach, climb stairs or any combination of these physical requirements to be able to repair the various equipment in multiple locations around the facility. These physical demands may be short or long term based on the nature of the repair.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Read, understand the blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings
  • Support the maintenance team with the troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner
  • Support the team in repairing and replacing the defective equipment
  • Assist in the installation and dismantling of the equipment with the help of various hand and power tools
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain the mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and minimal disruption to operations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for all work performed
  • Help manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
