Schedule: Monday-Friday | Flexible hours Duties/Responsibilities: Upholds strict confidentiality while promptly reporting critical incidents through approved channels to support the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff, ensuring timely emergency response and compliance with reporting requirements. Adheres to all workplace safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Provides prompt and compassionate assistance to students experiencing injury, illness, or emotional distress. Performs a wide range of interior and exterior custodial, building maintenance, and groundskeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Completes skilled maintenance and repair work across multiple trades, including plumbing, heating, carpentry, and general facility upkeep. Repairs and maintains doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing, and other structural components, including painting and finish work. Troubleshoots and repairs plumbing, HVAC, and heating systems, including furnaces, ductwork, air-conditioning units, piping, fixtures, and related controls. Performs electrical maintenance and repair tasks, including servicing lighting fixtures, switches, wiring, and other electrical systems. Assists with minor construction and fabrication projects such as building storage units, shelving, counters, and workstations. Safely operates precision hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment to complete assignments efficiently and effectively. Requirements Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Three years’ experience in the respective fields of electrical, heating, refrigeration, mechanical and carpentry work. Preferred: Certificate of completion from building trades training program or apprenticeship program. Extensive experience in the building trades. Knowledge: Must possess a valid State driver’s license. Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license if required. Ability to operate power and hand tools. Sound working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, building maintenance & construction fields. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive interior and exterior maintenance, including repairs to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and structural components. Ensure a safe and clean environment for students and staff while adhering to safety protocols and reporting requirements.
