JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, is responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility(ies), and equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures, to ensure that a successful, viable maintenance program is maintained at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
- Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department supervisors.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent with general maintenance experience.
- One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or willing to participate in extensive training as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Works in well-lighted/ventilated office and therapy areas.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants.
